Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Network Engineer III to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex network issues, contribute to architectural decisions, and support evolving business needs. This position requires a balance of technical expertise and business awareness, with the ability to evaluate network changes against organizational priorities and effectively communicate recommendations to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Support Network Infrastructure:
Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice/data networks, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
- Monitor, Troubleshoot & Optimize Performance:
Analyze and resolve network performance issues (latency, connectivity, security), ensure optimal uptime, and provide timely resolution of incidents and service disruptions.
- Implement Security & Best Practices:
Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security measures (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access controls) and ensure compliance with change management and operational procedures.
- Drive Network Operations & Growth:
Participate in capacity planning, network expansion, disaster recovery, backup/restore activities, and evaluation of new technologies to support scalability and business continuity.
