**Are you excited to design and operate large‑scale data platforms that power global research and innovation?
Do you enjoy collaborating across teams to build reliable, compliant, cloud‑based data solutions?About our Team**
Elsevier is a global information analytics company that helps institutions and professionals progress science, advance healthcare and improve performance for the benefit of humanity. We serve the research, academic, and clinical communities through the application of technology and analytics to content. Our portfolio of solutions brings together extensive Scientific, Technical and Medical content, powerful analytics, and technologies. We help our corporate customers, R&D professionals, engineers, scientists, and commercial marketing leaders, to innovate and commercialize ideas, products, and processes.
About the Role
This role is to lead early-stage technical engagement for Academic & Government (A&G) customers in China, and is responsible for definition and validation of technical solutions that specifically serve business targets. You will work as the "translation layer and solution convergence point" between Elsevier's global product portfolio and China A&G customer scenarios. This role focuses on pre-deal solution enablement, bridging business needs and technical feasibility for China-specific system integrations. You will shape solution direction before contract signing through technical analysis, solution definition, architecture design, AI/API integration planning, POCs, demos, technical feasibility assessments, and architecture documentation. You will drive the integration design across enterprise systems and third-party platforms. You will also act as a primary technical interface across customers, sales, products, and global architecture stakeholders. Through structured, front-loaded technical engagement, this position ensures high standards of quality, performance, and governance, while reducing late-stage rework and compliance misunderstandings. Overall, you will play a critical role in enabling global products’ integration with local solutions and serve China customers’ needs with scalability and extensibility.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers at early sales stages to understand business goals, technical constraints, and IT status
- Lead solution investigation, technical requirement decomposition, and feasibility assessment
- Translate business problems into executable technical solution options and architecture documentation
- Understand customer-side system architectures, data governance frameworks, and regulatory constraints
- Design integration pathways for Elsevier products in China-specific scenarios
- Lead LLM application’s architecture and design and evaluate local ecosystems’ interface with Elsevier AI solutions
