ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The organization has invested in East Africa's only HP Indigo B2 digital press — a game-changing capability that brings high-quality, short-run, variable data, and personalised printing to the market at a scale and quality level previously unavailable in Kenya. This role is dedicated to unlocking the commercial potential of that investment.
As our Digital Sales AE, you will be the face of the digital print offering. You will educate the market, build a prospect pipeline from scratch, and convert leads into loyal, repeat clients. This is a hunter role that rewards entrepreneurial energy and results.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE UNIQUEHP Indigo B2 — Only in Kenya
No competitor in Kenya operates a B2-format HP Indigo. You are selling a capability that simply does not exist elsewhere in the market.
B2 Format Advantage
B2 sheet size (500mm x 700mm) enables larger formats, more pages per pass, and packaging applications beyond the reach of standard digital presses.
Variable Data & Personalisation
Personalised direct mail, numbered certificates, bespoke packaging, loyalty cards — use cases that conventional offset cannot match.
Short Runs, Fast Turnaround
No minimum run sizes, no plate costs, rapid turnaround. Ideal for SMEs, startups, agencies, and event-driven campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and grow the digital print revenue line for the organization, with a primary focus on HP Indigo B2 output.
- Develop and execute a prospecting plan targeting corporates, agencies, SMEs, NGOs, publishers, and packaging buyers.
- Educate prospects on the capabilities and commercial advantages of B2 digital print — many clients will be encountering this technology for the first time.
- Prepare and present tailored proposals and print samples, converting first-time buyers into repeat accounts.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to briefing, quoting, follow-up, and account management.
- Collaborate with the production and pre-press teams to ensure client briefs are technically accurate and deliverable.
