Account Executive

Welcome to Zesty

Cloud teams should not have to choose between cost efficiency, performance, and control. At Zesty, we build automation that helps DevOps and FinOps teams optimize Kubernetes and cloud commitments continuously, within the guardrails they define.

Location & Work Model: San Mateo, CA | Hybrid (in office Tuesday–Thursday)

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Zesty is unable to sponsor work visas or provide relocation assistance for this role.

We are a curious, practical team that likes solving hard problems together. You will have room to take ownership, share ideas openly, and see your work make a real difference for customers.

About the Role

We’re looking for an Account Executive who thrives on creating new enterprise opportunities for Zesty across the U.S. This is a true new-logo role: you’ll generate the majority of your pipeline through targeted outbound prospecting and lead complex sales cycles with technical and executive buyers.

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end enterprise sales, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, close and handoff.
• Build and execute targeted account plans to open new logos, generating the majority of your pipeline through outbound prospecting, account research, and multi-threaded outreach.
• Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Cloud and Infrastructure, DevOps and FinOps leaders, and other executive stakeholders.
• Position Zesty’s cloud optimization platform by connecting each customer’s cost, performance, and control priorities to Kubernetes and cloud-commitment optimization.
• Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals and partner closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Marketing and Support to develop compelling proposals and a strong customer experience.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of successful, full-cycle B2B sales experience, with a focus on enterprise customers.
• A proven hunter with a track record of creating pipeline, opening new enterprise accounts, and meeting or exceeding quota in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Experience selling complex technical B2B or infrastructure solutions to DevOps, Engineering, and C-level decision makers.
• Comfort engaging DevOps, Cloud, and FinOps stakeholders in meaningful cloud-infrastructure conversations, with excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience selling to cloud platforms, infrastructure or FinOps teams.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, FinOps, cloud optimization or MSP solutions.
