Born from a respect for quality leather and the art of shoemaking, we continue to bring well-made, modern footwear to New Zealanders — combining form, function and fashion, with heritage at our core. For us, it all starts from the sole.

About the Role

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at Overland Footwear Group. Supporting our New Zealand and Australian operations, you'll play an important role in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys building strong working relationships across the business.

What you'll be doing

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, ensuring invoices are accurately coded, approved, and processed within agreed timeframes.

• Prepare and complete scheduled payment runs for New Zealand and Australian entities, including overseas payments.

• Review supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and follow up on invoice irregularities.

• Maintain accurate supplier records and payment details within the system.

• Reconcile and process company credit card transactions, including BNZ Visa, NAB Visa and AMEX.

• Ensure all payments are supported by the appropriate documentation and authorisations, with remittances sent to suppliers following payment runs.

• Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring supporting documentation and approvals are in place.

• Prepare and distribute monthly sales reports to relevant retail malls, ensuring reporting is accurate and submitted on time.

• Provide support across the wider Finance team and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance administration role.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when processing financial information.

• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and follow up on discrepancies.

• Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
