AI Developer – Computer Vision & Machine LearningWhy you would like it

• Real-world AI across engineering and infrastructure
• Strong focus on computer vision and machine learning
• Scope to lead ideas from experiment to production
• Influence how AI is adopted across the business

The opportunity

This is a hands-on AI Developer role with room to shape both the technical work and the way AI is used across the organisation.

You’ll work across high-value AI use cases, designing experiments, building models, and helping move the right ideas from proof-of-concept into production. The focus is computer vision and machine learning, with exposure to deep learning and generative AI where they make sense.

It’s a good fit if you enjoy complex problems, can work closely with technical and non-technical teams, and want your work to have a practical impact beyond the lab.

Company profile

You’ll join a digital team within a large, established organisation delivering work across complex engineering and infrastructure environments. The team is building stronger AI capability and looking for people who can bring technical depth, curiosity, and good judgement to how AI is applied.

The role

• Identify and assess AI use cases based on value and feasibility
• Design and run machine learning and computer vision experiments
• Select the right algorithms, frameworks, libraries, and tools
• Work with digital and engineering teams to productionise solutions
• Support responsible AI practices across data, privacy, and security
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the AI community
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Stay close to AI trends and bring useful thinking back into the team

Your fit

• Strong experience in machine learning, AI algorithms, and modern frameworks
• Practical computer vision experience across real-world use cases
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and ML libraries
• Good understanding of data preprocessing and feature engineering
• Able to take an idea from exploration through to working solution
