Business Network Consulting (BNC) is seeking a senior, hands-on developer to design, support and extend custom applications, data integrations and automation solutions for small-to-medium-sized business clients. This role is ideal for a practical problem-solver who can move comfortably between code, databases, APIs, cloud services and client conversations.
You will take ownership of business-critical line-of-business solutions that operate across on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments. The work includes maintaining existing deployments, improving reliability and documentation, troubleshooting vendor and legacy-system dependencies, and delivering new solutions that create measurable value for clients.
This is a developer-first position with a consulting mindset. Success requires technical depth, clear communication, sound judgment and the ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Own, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance production applications and integrations that support core client operations.
- Design and build data pipelines, ETL processes, database interfaces, views, stored procedures and reporting integrations.
- Develop automation, workflow and integration solutions using PowerShell, Python, application code, APIs, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint Agents, task schedulers and services.
- Integrate cloud platforms, SaaS products, vendor systems and legacy applications using REST, OAuth, JSON, XML, SOAP and related technologies.
- Support secure handling, transformation and delivery of sensitive business data, including solutions involving regulated or personally identifiable information.
- Analyze unfamiliar codebases and production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes with appropriate testing and change controls.
- Document source code, architecture, dependencies, credentials requirements, deployment procedures, monitoring and support runbooks.
- Work directly with client stakeholders and outside vendors to gather requirements, explain options, set expectations and coordinate delivery.
- Estimate work, define milestones and manage multiple development and support priorities through BNC’s project-management processes.
- Collaborate with BNC systems engineers on infrastructure, cloud, identity, security, networking and deployment requirements, ensuring solutions meet data-privacy, governance and responsible-AI standards.
- Mentor engineers who support automation and development-adjacent work, and contribute to technical standards and reusable practices.
