Applied AI Engineer Intern (all genders)

As an Applied AI Intern at revel8 you sit between our customers and our product: you understand what security teams at enterprises like Allianz or Beiersdorf actually struggle with, and you turn that into working AI prototypes and simulations, fast. You will leverage AI to solve real customer problems and shape what we build next.

How your day-to-day will look like:

• Engineer AI Workflows: Design, test and implement AI-driven features using prompt engineering and AI coding tools.

• Prototype with AI: Build working prototypes fast with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor and the like) to validate new product ideas within days, not months.

• Create Intelligent Content: Develop adaptive, AI-enhanced simulations and content that reflect real-world cyber threats.

• Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.

• Talk to customers: Join customer calls and innovation projects, understand the problems behind the requests, and feed what you learn into what we prototype next.

• Think like a product owner: Assess whether an idea is worth building, what it costs, and how it would create value for revel8 and its customers.

• Shape the Future: Contribute directly to building products that will help create 10 million human firewalls and revolutionize cybersecurity training.

You are...

• A curious generalist with business acumen: you can sit in front of a customer, ask the right questions, and understand their problem before you build anything.
• Comfortable building things with AI tools, even if you are not a software engineer by training.
• An AI-native builder: AI coding tools are part of how you work, and you have already built something real with them, a prototype, an agent, an automation, anything you can show.
• From an engineering, data science, business informatics or similar background. What matters is that you can build with AI tools, not which degree says so.
• Interested in cybersecurity, AI and product innovation.
• A resilient builder who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and likes owning projects end-to-end.
• Detail-oriented and creative, you are not afraid to prototype fast and iterate until you find the right solution.
• A strong communicator with the skills to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and with customers.
