Why Cardinal Mechanical?
At Cardinal Mechanical, the proud plumbing division of Rockport, we don't just offer a job—we offer a stable, thriving environment where you can build a long-term career. We do things differently here to ensure our crew is taken care of, both on and off the tools. When you join our apprentice team, you get:
-
Zero Layoffs & 100% Internal Stability: Say goodbye to seasonal slowdowns or stress between projects. We work exclusively on Rockport's internal pipeline of projects, ensuring guaranteed, full-time hours 12 months a year.
-
One Team, Same Goal: Forget the usual toxic finger-pointing between different trades on site. Because we operate entirely alongside our own internal divisions—like Nitro Electric—we work as a unified internal team. Everyone is on the same page, working toward the same goal, making your day-to-day workflow smoother and way less frustrating.
-
Exclusive Discounted Apartment Rates: Looking for a premium, modern place to live? Our crew gets exclusive, discounted rental rates on the very buildings we build and manage right here in Winnipeg.
-
Fast-Track Career Growth: We recognize and reward hard work. If you show up with a great attitude and grind hard, you will see quick promotions, fast upward mobility, and a clear path to becoming a future Foreman.
-
100% Winnipeg Work: Keep your commute short and predictable. All of our projects are located right here in Winnipeg—no out-of-town travel or living out of suitcases required.
-
Comprehensive Compensation: Enjoy competitive hourly wages tailored to your apprenticeship level, steady full-time hours, and a solid health and benefits package.
