Area Program Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety Construction

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Google Data Centers (GDC) makes up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures on the planet. As a member of the CSRM Construction EHS team, you will be responsible for supporting the EHS construction program and team. You will play a critical role by working collaboratively with cross functional teams across GDC and contractors to protect Google’s interests.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of EHS programs and initiatives across a defined area. You will work directly with GDC partners, general contractors, electrical/mechanical trades and organizations, key integrators, fabricators, and commissioning agents to improve the EHS programs and performance on our projects. You will engage in pre-qualification evaluations of potential vendors, update the project manual, and communicate EHS expectations. You will be involved in strategic planning, risk mitigation and on-time delivery. You will be responsible for establishing and tracking a set of performance metrics, developing best practices, and reporting out to stakeholders to help the organization scale efficiently.
