Why Join Margin Wheeler?
🚀 A Genuine Path Into Management
This role is designed for experienced accounting professionals who are ready to build real management experience.
For strong performers, the career progression can be:
Assistant Accounts Manager → Accounts Manager → Senior Accounts Manager → Head of Department
We believe progression should be based on capability, results, leadership, and responsibility, not simply how many years you have been in the company.
👥 Build and Lead a Strong Team
You will have opportunities to coach junior accountants, review their work, improve their performance, and help develop a stronger Accounting team.
You will not simply be responsible for your own portfolio.
Your ability to help the entire team perform better will be an important part of your role.
📊 Broad and Challenging Accounting Exposure
You will work with a diverse portfolio of Singapore companies across different industries and business models.
You will also handle more complex accounting issues and review work prepared by other accounting professionals.
This provides significantly broader exposure than working within the finance department of a single company.
🤖 Work in a Technology-Driven Accounting Environment
We actively invest in AI, automation, and technology to improve the way accounting work is performed.
We believe accounting professionals should spend less time on repetitive administrative work and more time on work requiring judgement, technical knowledge, and client understanding.
Managers are encouraged to actively identify processes that can be improved or automated.
📈 Clear Performance Expectations
We believe capable employees perform best when expectations are clear.
You will have defined responsibilities and measurable performance expectations covering areas such as:
Quality of work
Turnaround time
Portfolio management
Team productivity
Review quality
Client service
Staff development
Process improvement
Strong performance will be recognised.
🏆 Opportunity to Make an Impact
We are a growing organisation, which means good ideas can actually be implemented.
If you see a better way of doing something, we want you to raise it.
This role gives you the opportunity to contribute not only as an accountant, but also to how the Accounting department operates and develops.
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on experience and capability
5-day work week, Monday to Friday
Annual leave entitlement with additional leave based on length of service
Medical and dental benefits
Regular performance reviews
Training and professional development opportunities
Exposure to a diverse portfolio of Singapore companies
Genuine management and leadership responsibilities
Clear career progression opportunities
Opportunities to participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
A modern workplace that actively adopts technology and AI
Stable and established organisation with more than a decade of operating history
Ready to Step Into Management?
If you are already a strong Senior Accounts Executive, Accounting Supervisor, or Assistant Manager and are looking for an opportunity where you can lead people, take ownership, solve problems, and progress into a larger management role, we encourage you to apply.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are hands-on, technically strong, efficient, accountable, and ambitious about building a long-term career in accounting management.
