Assistant Manager-IT Terminal Operations

The Assistant Manager-IT Terminal Operations (IT Field Services) leads day-to-day IT operations and Field Services employees supporting one large terminal or multiple terminals within a regional geography. As the senior on-site IT leader, this role is accountable for service delivery, operational continuity, and stakeholder engagement while serving as the primary bridge between terminal business leadership and centralized IT organizations. This position also directs local support activities, incident response, and vendor performance; develops and coaches employees; manages escalations; and partners with Cybersecurity and enterprise IT teams to deliver reliable, secure, and business-aligned technology services.

This role is well suited for individuals who enjoy working beyond a traditional office environment. Work is performed in a combination of office and operational settings, including marine terminals, ports, intermodal facilities, rail yards, warehouses, and vessel operations. The position provides regular opportunities to engage directly with terminal operations and employees across the business. Employees may work outdoors, travel throughout terminal facilities, and must comply with all site safety requirements and PPE standards.
