- Support the Project Manager in implementing the project execution plan, governance structure and communication protocols.
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for the Client, Designers, Contractors and authorities on delegated matters.
- Coordinate the PMC project team, including the Construction Manager, Resident Engineers, Planner, Cost Manager, HSE and document control staff, tracking actions and deliverables to closure.
- Deputise for the Project Manager in meetings and decision-making when required.
Design and Procurement Support
- Track design development against the Client's brief, budget and programme, and escalate design issues, delays and change requests.
- Support design change control and value engineering, and help assess their impact on cost, programme and quality.
- Support tender preparation, bid evaluation and contract award, including clarifications and recommendation reports.
- Monitor long-lead procurement and flag supply chain risks.
Programme and Progress Control
- Review Contractor programmes, updates and look-aheads with the Planner, and monitor progress against key milestones.
- Identify critical path risks early and support recovery and acceleration measures.
- Verify progress through site visits and coordination with the site team.
Cost and Commercial Support
- Support the Cost Manager in budget tracking, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Review interim valuations, variations, claims and extension of time submissions, and prepare recommendations for the Project Manager.
- Maintain records of notices, instructions and correspondence to protect the Client's contractual position.
