Full description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team, focusing on reconciliation processes for our buy
side client.
The candidate will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation exception management, with a primary focus on breaks
identification, allocation, and timely follow‑up.
The role ensures that all reconciliation breaks are accurately categorized, routed to
the appropriate teams for investigation, and resolved within defined SLAs, providing proactive escalation and KPI reporting to
keep the GIC team fully informed of volumes, aging, and risk
Responsibilities and Skills:
Perform reconciliation activities focused on breaks identification and follow-up across assigned accounts and products.
Review reconciliation output to identify the nature of breaks (e.g., corporate actions, bank charges, timing differences, data
issues) and capture clear break comments.
Assign breaks to the relevant internal / external teams for detailed investigation in line with the defined operating model and
workflow tools.
Track, monitor, and follow up on open breaks to ensure resolution within agreed SLAs, highlighting any potential SLA breaches
in advance.
Escalate to the client team where breaks cannot be explained, are complex in nature, or are aging without a clear resolution
path, providing supporting details and impact assessment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all breaks, actions taken, ownership, and status, in the designated reconciliation /
case management systems.
Prepare and deliver regular KPI and MI reports (e.g., open breaks, aging, root-cause trends, SLA adherence) to keep the GIC
team apprised of reconciliation health.
Liaise with upstream and downstream teams (operations, corporate actions, payments, finance, technology, etc.) to
support timely closure of breaks and drive better data quality.
Adhere to standard operating procedures, control checks, and documentation requirements to ensure audit-ready reconciliation
processes
Contribute to process improvement by highlighting recurring break patterns, control gaps, and opportunities for automation or
rule enhancements at the Level 1 stage.
