Full description
U.S. Seniors' Golf Association & Father and Son Golf Association
Administered by the Metropolitan Golf Association
MGA title: Senior Client Administrator, USSGA & FSGA
Scope: USSGA, including the USSGA Foundation/Memorial Fund (approx. 90%) · FSGA (approx. 10%)
Reports to: Chief Administrative Officer, MGA
Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary, plus eligibility for an annual bonus
THE ROLE
The Association Director is the senior staff lead for two of golf's most storied associations: the U.S. Seniors' Golf Association, founded in 1905, and the Father and Son Golf Association, founded in 1915. Working alongside distinguished volunteer officers, the Board of Governors, and committee chairs, this person is the association's first point of contact for members and the steward of its championships, membership, publications, records, and governance.
At the MGA, the position is titled Senior Client Administrator, USSGA & FSGA. The role suits an accomplished professional who takes pride in running things well, works independently, and leads a small team. The championship calendar gives the year a seasonal rhythm: member service and event execution in-season, and the Yearbook, membership cycle, and process improvement in the offseason.
The successful candidate will begin with an extended shadowing period, working alongside the current, long-serving incumbent to learn the associations, their members and volunteer leaders, and the full annual cycle firsthand.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD
Tournament & Championship Administration (20%)
- Own the Annual Tournament end to end — contracts, registration, pairings, payments, prizes, event materials, and on-site operations
- Administer events in Golf Genius and oversee posting of results and photography to the association websites
Yearbook & Publications (20%)
- Produce the annual USSGA Yearbook — content, proofing, print vendors, budget, and distribution — along with newsletters and other publications
- Maintain the historical record of champions, results, and association milestones
Member Service (15%)
- Serve as the primary contact for members, officers, Board members, and committee chairs, resolving issues independently and escalating only when needed
Team Leadership (10%)
- Lead the two-person USSGA/FSGA team — setting priorities, allocating work across the championship calendar, coaching, and contributing to annual reviews with the CAO
