Full description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Automation Software Team within Assembly Systems, on a full-time permanent basis.
About Us & The Role
In our relentless pursuit of Power Unit performance and reliability, we develop cutting-edge manufacturing processes that simply cannot be bought off the shelf. This gives us a unique competitive advantage and offers our Automation Engineers an extraordinary opportunity to design, build, and commission special purpose machines, taking initial sketches and turning them into fully operational production systems.
We are looking for a highly experienced individual in Industrial Automation programming, specialising in the Beckhoff ecosystem. Your proficiency with these technologies will be critical in developing and optimising automation processes, ensuring precision, repeatability, and long-term reliability.
Our machines are programmed using the PackML framework and object-oriented principles, and cover all areas of industrial automation, including PLC programming, HMI development, Motion, Analytics, and the integration of a wide range of sensors and third-party systems. A key part of the role will involve creating, maintaining, and evolving your own reusable function blocks to ensure scalable and maintainable software architectures across multiple machines.
You will join a multi-disciplinary Automation team, working alongside talented and passionate engineers. Your role will involve designing, developing, and validating both new and existing automation programs to ensure they are scalable, robust, and production ready. The machines you deliver will be instrumental in the manufacturing and assembly of highly engineered Power Units including internal combustion engines, electric machines, and batteries built to the highest standards.
