Driving Success in Complex Bid Processes Together
As our international business activities continue to grow, alongside cloud and subscription-based business models and increasingly complex strategic customer projects, we are further expanding our Global Sales Excellence Team. The rising number of formal procurement processes, such as RFIs, RFPs, and tenders, as well as the significant internal coordination effort required, call for structured bid management, clear responsibilities, quality assurance, and reliable adherence to deadlines.
As a Bid Manager (all genders), you will take ownership of the bid phase as the central project lead, managing complex proposal processes for strategic deals, formal tenders, and international business opportunities. You will coordinate Sales, Presales, Delivery, Legal, Compliance, Pricing, and Finance teams, ensuring consistent proposal quality and the timely delivery of professional, compelling customer proposals with a clear and persuasive storyline.
This role is designed to relieve Sales and Presales teams, increase efficiency in complex bid processes, and improve win rates for strategic opportunities.
In doing so, you will make an important contribution to the scalability of our global sales and proposal processes, the alignment of technical, commercial, and contractual content, and the establishment of a centralized bid management function within the Sales Excellence organization.
Your Tasks
- Lead and manage the bid phase for formal tenders, strategic deals, and complex business opportunities.
- Plan and govern bid projects and tender processes with clearly defined deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, and escalation paths.
- Coordinate all involved resources and lead a virtual bid team across Sales, Presales, Delivery, Legal, Compliance, Pricing, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure a consistent and compelling proposal storyline and support the creation of executive summaries, value propositions, solution concepts, and the overall structure of complex proposal documents.
- Coordinate the completion of security questionnaires, technical responses, as well as compliance and legal submissions.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and completeness of proposal content and establish quality gates for bid documentation.
- Manage proposal pricing in close collaboration with Sales, Finance, and Presales.
- Support contractual discussions, coordinate legal involvement, and ensure alignment between technical, commercial, and legal proposal content.
- Maintain and continuously enhance a central knowledge base, including RFx response libraries, best practices, and proposal templates.
