Brand Designer

About Finch

We are on a mission to revolutionize employment by building the infrastructure that powers every facet of work. To do this, we're looking for individuals who think about problems holistically and in-depth, who are relentlessly curious, self-starters, and determined to drive ideas from inception through to completion.

Finch is a Series B company backed by a fantastic set of firms, angels, and our developers including General Catalyst, Menlo Ventures, Homebrew, BoxGroup, YCombinator, Charley (1st business hire at Plaid), Sima (ex-Head of Biz Dev at Plaid), Henrique + Pedro (co-CEOs at Brex), Jeff + Wayne (co-CEOs at Digits), Immad (CEO at Mercury), Sam (CEO at Vouch Insurance), Karim (CTO at Ramp), and more.

About Our Team

We're a team of problem solvers who aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions. We value velocity, curiosity, empathy, and diverse perspectives. Everyone on the team is excited about the scope of the problems we address and the potential impact our work can have on the global workforce. We realize that the value we provide comes with great responsibilities, and therefore make security and privacy our highest priorities.

We come from a diverse set of backgrounds and each member brings different skills to the group. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. Your skills and potential will stand out—and set you apart—especially if your career has taken some extraordinary twists and turns.

About The Role

Finch is looking for a Brand Designer to own and evolve how our brand shows up in the world.

This role sits at the center of Finch’s brand expression, defining how we tell our story, how we differentiate in a crowded B2B SaaS landscape, and how our brand scales with the company and our clients across commercial and enterprise segments.

You’ll lead brand execution across marketing, web, events, sales, and internal storytelling , balancing foundational system work with high-visibility brand moments.

You’ll operate as the main brand designer and creative at Finch, deeply embedded within the marketing team and closely partnered with company leadership. This role is for a designer who is comfortable owning decisions, setting a high bar, and building a brand with intention and systems thinking, not just shipping assets.

You won’t inherit a fully locked system. You’ll be at the helm to define it, deciding where to push, where to refine, and how to maintain coherence while still doing bold, interesting, pixel-perfect work. You’ll collaborate with the executive and marketing teams while delivering impact across the entire company.

What You'll Do

• Own and design high-quality brand assets across campaigns, web, sales materials, events, social, and internal storytelling

• Define and evolve Finch’s brand system , including core visual assets, guidelines, and reusable components

• Build templates, libraries, and standards that enable the marketing team to execute consistently and at a high level

• Maintain a high bar for quality and consistency across every brand touchpoint

• Balance speed, craft, and risk, knowing when to move fast, when to polish, and when to push into new creative territory

• Bring systems thinking and strong judgment to layouts, concepts, and executions

• Operate as a self-starter and self-checker , taking ownership of your work and continuously raising the bar

• Collaborate closely with marketing, founders, sales, product, and external partners to ensure brand aligns with business goals

• Translate a complex technical infrastructure product into clear, compelling visual stories that resonate far beyond a technical audience

What You'll Bring

• 6+ years of experience in brand design, visual design, or marketing-focused creative roles

• Prior experience at a brand or design agency , ideally working with B2B SaaS or technology companies

• A portfolio that demonstrates strong systems thinking, and execution across brand, web, and print

• Excellent fundamentals in typography, layout, color, hierarchy, and composition

• Proficiency in Figma, Webflow, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Curiosity and comfort experimenting with AI-assisted design tools and workflows

• Experience designing for marketing surfaces (websites, campaigns, decks, events, content)

• Ability to operate autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams

• Comfort in high-velocity environments with evolving priorities

• Interest in technology and complex products (prior API or data infrastructure experience encouraged but not required)

Success Looks Like

• Have spent part of your career at a brand or design agency , working across multiple clients, industries, and mediums

• Are ready to trade client rotations for deep ownership —building and evolving one brand end-to-end

• Know how to move between strategy and execution , from brand systems and concepts to pixel-perfect delivery

• Are comfortable operating as a team of one in design , while being closely embedded in a collaborative marketing team

• Bring strong opinions, good taste, and the judgment to know when to move fast and when to sweat the details

• Enjoy working across web, campaigns, print, events, decks, and motion , and want your work to show up everywhere

• Are energized by ambiguity and excited to help define the system—not just follow it

• Want to build a cohesive brand system instead of one-off assets

What We Offer

• This is a rare chance to fully own a brand at a true inflection point.

• Finch is the leading connectivity platform for employment systems, powering secure access to payroll, benefits, and HR data across 250+ systems through a single integration. We’re modernizing legacy industries with infrastructure that sits quietly behind the scenes—and now, the brand is stepping into the spotlight.

• As a Brand Designer, you’ll have full creative ownership across web, advertising, print, events, and storytelling. You’ll work directly with founders and a marketing team that deeply values craft, clarity, and momentum—building a brand system that scales while leaving room for bold, differentiated ideas.

• If you want full ownership, real impact, and the space to do thoughtful, ambitious brand work with a group of truly great humans in NYC or SF, let’s talk!

Benefits:

• Competitive equity with a 10-year exercise window

• Full medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees, 85% for dependents)

• Unlimited PTO (with a 3-week minimum)

• 401(k) plan

• Regular team offsites and meetups
