About the Role
We are looking for a Business Analyst with previous experience in engineering-related projects to join an external delivery team supporting a software solution used within the automotive industry.
The solution supports the management of engineering deliverables, including vehicle parts, technical drawings, engineering data and information related to numerical simulation processes. It enables engineering teams to manage and coordinate technical deliverables throughout automotive engineering and product development activities.
This role requires prior exposure to engineering processes and engineering stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has worked as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Delivery Coordinator, Product Owner or in a similar role on projects supporting automotive engineering, mechanical engineering or technical product development.
You do not need to be a practicing engineer or perform engineering calculations yourself. However, you must understand the engineering context, the types of technical deliverables involved and how software solutions support engineering teams.
Experience with numerical simulation processes is necessary, ideally in the automotive industry. Candidates do not need to be simulation engineers, but should be familiar with the context in which engineering simulations and related technical deliverables are used.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyse and clarify business and engineering requirements with stakeholders from automotive engineering and related technical departments.
- Understand engineering workflows involving vehicle components, parts, technical drawings, engineering data and numerical simulation-related information.
- Translate engineering and business needs into functional requirements, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and actionable backlog items.
- Act as the main link between engineering stakeholders and the external software delivery team, ensuring that technical and business requirements are understood correctly.
