Business Development Lead

Join us in solving one of industrial robotics' toughest challenges.

R3 Robotics is developing the AI-powered dismantling platform that transforms end-of-life electric vehicle systems into strategic sources of critical materials. As global electrification accelerates, the surge in batteries and e-motors requires automated solutions that manual disassembly cannot provide. We are addressing this industrial bottleneck by enabling the automated dismantling of complex systems at scale through computer vision, artificial intelligence, and specialized robotic tooling.

Following a successful €20M Series A funding round led by HG Ventures and Suma Capital, we are expanding across Europe and preparing for our entry into the United States market in 2026. We partner with major industrial recyclers and automotive OEMs to deliver measurable impact. If you seek to work on advanced robotics within a well-funded organization scaling internationally, this is your opportunity.

Your role

DACH is R3's largest and most important market. It is home to the automotive OEMs, tier-1 suppliers and recyclers that will shape how Europe handles end-of-life batteries, and to some of our most important customers today.

As Business Development Lead for DACH, you own this market end to end. You build the pipeline, run complex enterprise deals from first meeting to signed contract, and grow the accounts we already serve into long-term, multi-site partnerships. You report to the Head of Business Operations and work closely with our CEO, engineering, deployment and operations teams.

Your responsibilities

• Own the DACH commercial plan and revenue target, from market mapping and account prioritization to forecasting
• Build and convert a qualified pipeline across OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, recyclers and battery players primarily in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
• Lead complex B2B sales cycles: discovery, technical and commercial proposals, pilots, negotiation and contract close for our EV BDL (RaaS) and Disassembly as a Service (DaaS) offerings
• Grow existing customers, turning pilots and first contracts into recurring, multi-site relationships
• Build trusted relationships with senior decision makers across procurement, sustainability, engineering and operations
• Work with engineering, deployment and operations to shape offers that are technically sound and deliverable
• Keep HubSpot accurate and provide reliable forecasting and reporting on pipeline and performance
• Represent R3 at trade fairs, conferences and industry associations across DACH
• Bring market insight back into product, pricing and go-to-market strategy

• 3 to 6 years in B2B business development or sales, with a proven record of opening doors and closing deals, ideally with OEMs, recyclers or similar industrial players
• Background in automotive, industrial, automation or energy, selling to technical buyers
• An existing network among DACH automotive OEMs, tier-1 suppliers or recyclers is a strong advantage
• Native-level German and fluent English (French is a plus)
• Tech savvy: you pick up the technology quickly, earn credibility with key stakeholders and run client meetings on your own
• Structured and data-driven, with a disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting
• Hunter mindset and real hunger to grow, with concrete, quantified results in your track record
• Experience in a startup or scale-up, or in opening a new market
• Degree in business, engineering or a related field
• Willing to travel regularly within EU

• Build and own a market from the ground up, with direct access to the management team
• Transparent culture with flat hierarchies where every person is highly valued
• A getting-things-done attitude and access to cutting-edge technologies
• End-to-end ownership of high-impact deals that shape how Europe recycles EV batteries
• Attractive financial package with a competitive salary
• Many personal growth opportunities in a highly entrepreneurial team
• Complementary health insurance
