Business Development Manager at CFO Insights

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, where you are given the autonomy and support to handle large amounts of responsibility?

Are you looking for the opportunity to accelerate your sales career whilst also being surrounded by an exceptional entrepreneurial team with motivated and extremely driven people?

The role

You’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of sponsors across our international conferences, building long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and driving sponsorship revenue.

This is a high-performance B2B sales role with a strong focus on sponsor retention, renewals and account growth, alongside identifying and closing new sponsorship opportunities.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a commercially driven salesperson who enjoys building strong client relationships, growing accounts and consistently delivering against revenue targets.

You should have:

-
At least 2 years of B2B sales experience.

-
A proven track record of achieving or exceeding individual revenue targets.

-
Experience managing client relationships, retaining customers and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

-
Confidence engaging, pitching and negotiating with senior decision-makers.

-
Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify new revenue opportunities.

-
Ambition, resilience and ownership – you take responsibility for your portfolio, performance and results.

-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

This role might not be the right fit if...

-
You prefer a role focused purely on relationship management, without responsibility for sales and revenue.

-
You don't enjoy negotiating, closing deals and working towards commercial targets.

-
You're not comfortable taking ownership of client relationships and proactively identifying opportunities to grow accounts.

-
You're looking for a hybrid or remote position – our London team works together from the office five days a week.

What you’ll do

-
Manage and retain sponsors: Build strong, long-term relationships with an existing portfolio of sponsors, driving renewals and repeat business.

-
Grow existing accounts: Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and increase sponsorship revenue within your portfolio.

-
Drive new business: Identify, pitch and close new sponsorship opportunities to expand our client base.

-
Own your revenue targets: Take responsibility for achieving ambitious individual sales and retention targets.

-
Deliver exceptional partnerships: Work closely with our content and delivery teams to ensure sponsors receive a high-quality experience and see value in their partnerships.

What we offer

-
Competitive salary and market-leading OTE.

-
Significant ownership and responsibility from day one.

-
The opportunity to work closely with our senior leadership team.

-
International travel to our conferences.

-
Training, coaching and ongoing development.

-
Strong opportunities for internal progression as we continue to grow.
