Business Development Representative | DACH

Legal teams don’t change how they work very often. And when they do, it sticks for years. Right now, most of them are making that call about AI. What they pick will shape how their clients experience the law for a long time. So we don’t treat these conversations as just a sale. We’d rather take the time to help a team get it right than rush them into a decision they’ll quietly undo later.

Saga builds AI for legal teams. Legal professionals spend a big chunk of their week hunting for the right source, checking it’s still good law, and redoing work that’s been done before. We want to take that friction away, so they can focus on people, ethics and work that matters. Saga was founded in Norway and built for the legal profession from day one. We connect to local legal sources across multiple jurisdictions and work in 12 languages. In 18 months we’ve grown to 85+ people and 6,000+ users in 20+ countries. We lead the market in Norway and the Netherlands and are expanding across Europe. We’re a global team of builders, legal professionals and engineers. We believe the law should work the way it’s meant to: aligned, accountable, and human. For everyone.

Those AI conversations are happening across Europe right now. In Germany, you’ll be the one leading them.

Your role as Business Development Representative, DACH

We’re expanding the DACH market, and this role is where that story starts in Germany. You’ll open conversations with law firms and legal networks, listen closely to how their work really runs, and show them what AI built into the way lawyers already work could look like. Your market knowledge will help us shape how Saga shows up for German lawyers. You’ll work closely with our Account Executive, who take qualified opportunities forward, and with colleagues as part of an international sales team.

What you’ll be doing

• Find new opportunities in the German market by following up on inbound interest and reaching out to law firms, legal networks and innovation hubs by phone, email and LinkedIn. Cold calling is a core part of the role.

• Run discovery calls and first product demos. Qualify prospects and tailor your pitch to German legal workflows and compliance priorities.

• Be the first point of contact for German prospects at Saga, explaining what we offer in plain terms and handing qualified opportunities to our Account Executives with the context they need.

• Hand qualified opportunities to our AEs with the context they need to close.

• Share what you learn about the German market with us and help shape our sales engagement strategy and go-to-market positioning.

• Build a network of referral partners and legal associations, represent Saga at legal tech events, conferences and meetups, and ensuring all activity is logged in HubSpot.

What you bring to our team

• 2+ years as an SDR or BDR in B2B SaaS, with a track record of hitting or beating targets.

• Hands-on experience prospecting into the German market by phone, email and LinkedIn, and running your pipeline in a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive).

• Fluent German and English (C1+ or native), written and spoken. You’ll be speaking with partners at law firms.

• Open to travel within the DACH region.

• You listen well, earn trust quickly and keep going when outreach takes time.

• You’re curious about AI and already use it to work smarter.
