Business Development Representative - Manufacturing Software

Location: Remote (U.S. or India)

Reports to: President, Snic Solutions

Type: Full-time

About Snic Solutions

Snic Solutions delivers composable smart manufacturing systems through a XaaS (Everything-as-a-Service) model — combining software platforms like Factory Thread and Siemens Opcenter with customer success and managed services.

Our mission is to help manufacturers reduce time to value by modernizing their digital infrastructure with modular, outcome-driven solutions.

We’ve implemented MES, APS, and LIMS systems for leading manufacturers across North America and Asia. Factory Thread, our proprietary platform, virtualizes manufacturing data to accelerate adoption of digital tools and drive operational intelligence.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who is passionate about technology, manufacturing, and data.

You’ll be the first point of contact for prospective customers — identifying opportunities, initiating conversations, and setting up qualified meetings for the sales team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on research, outreach, and meaningful conversations with decision-makers in manufacturing, operations, and IT.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute targeted outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, and phone based on Snic’s ideal customer profiles (manufacturers using MES, APS, ERP, or spreadsheet-heavy workflows).

• Qualify leads using structured discovery questions to identify business pains, digital maturity, and readiness for Factory Thread or Snic’s XaaS bundles.

• Collaborate with marketing to personalize messaging and campaigns around key manufacturing challenges — data silos, delayed time to value, supply chain volatility, and digital adoption.

• Book qualified meetings for the Sales Executive and leadership team, ensuring context and handoff quality.

• Maintain accurate prospect data in CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce) and track all activities.

• Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to refine Snic’s go-to-market approach.

• Support pre-webinar and post-event outreach campaigns (e.g., following Nikhil Joshi’s “Growth Unplugged” sessions or MES webinars).

What You’ll Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (preferably in SaaS, manufacturing tech, or industrial automation).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

• Curiosity to learn about manufacturing data, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0.

• Comfortable using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email automation tools, and CRM systems.

• Grit, consistency, and attention to detail — you enjoy structured outreach and pipeline building.

• Ability to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams.

Success Metrics

• Number of qualified meetings booked per month.

• Conversion rate of leads to qualified opportunities.

• Quality of discovery notes and handoffs.

• Pipeline contribution ($ value) from BDR-sourced opportunities.

Growth Path

This role offers a fast track into:

• Solution Sales Executive – managing full sales cycles as you gain product and industry expertise.

• Customer Success / Solution Consulting – if your interest leans toward consultative or technical engagement.

Why Join Snic Solutions

• Be part of a company redefining how manufacturers adopt digital tools — faster, simpler, and more data-driven.

• Learn directly from industry leaders who’ve delivered large-scale MES, APS, and LIMS programs worldwide.

• Work with a small, fast-moving team where your ideas and impact are visible.
