Business Development Representative

If you’re early in your sales career and want to learn how good B2B sales actually works, this could be a great place to start.

At Isaga, you’ll get hands-on experience researching businesses, reaching out to senior decision-makers, running conversations, understanding business problems, and learning what it takes to move a prospect towards a deal.

Isaga is a subsidiary of Nuclei, a profitable SaaS company. Our group companies have worked with 20+ large banks, including HDFC, ICICI, and SBI, across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Isaga currently works with 100+ startups across India, helping them access better pricing and benefits across their technology stack.

We’re a small, ambitious team, which means you won’t be limited to a narrow set of tasks. You’ll learn directly from experienced sales leaders, take ownership early, and have plenty of room to grow.

Please Note: This is not a permanently remote role.

What You’ll Learn & Own

##

1. Research before you reach out

You’ll learn how to understand a company before picking up the phone. This means using LinkedIn, company websites, recent news, and other sources to figure out who you’re speaking to and what matters to their business.

2. Start conversations with decision-makers

A big part of the role is cold calling and speaking with CFOs, CTOs, founders, and other senior stakeholders. You’ll learn how to open conversations, ask the right questions, and keep people engaged.

3. Sell the problem, not just the product

Good sales isn’t about delivering a product pitch. You’ll learn how to understand what a prospect is trying to solve and tell a relevant story around how our solution can help.

4. Take prospects forward

You’ll be responsible for consistent follow-ups and for getting the information needed to progress opportunities, including consumption reports and other relevant business details.

5. Keep getting better

We care a lot about learning. Everyone on the team is expected to read, ask questions, understand the business, and continuously improve how they work.

What We’re Looking For

##

You’ll do well in this role if you:

• Communicate exceptionally well and can speak with confidence, clarity, and energy.
• Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do.
• Think in a structured way and can break down problems logically.
• Are comfortable working towards targets and enjoy the challenge of achieving ambitious goals.
• Have 1–2 years of experience in B2B SaaS or startup sales. This is ideal, though we care about how you think and communicate as much as your experience.

Where This Can Take You

##

This isn’t intended to be a role where you spend years doing the same thing. The goal is to build your ability to research accounts, engage senior stakeholders, understand business problems, create compelling sales conversations, and eventually handle more complex opportunities.

If you perform well, you can grow into an Account Executive role and eventually move towards enterprise sales.

There are also opportunities across Nuclei and Isaga in areas such as sales, partnerships, and customer success. Over 3–4 years, if you continue to perform and grow, there is a genuine opportunity to build towards an enterprise sales career.

Want to Get Our Attention?

##

We get a lot of applications, so don’t make yours just another CV in the pile.

Here are a few things you can do:

• Find the email IDs of Aditya Kshirsagar and Sharon and reach out to them directly.
• Record a 1-minute introduction video telling us who you are and why you’d be good at this role.
• Show us that you’ve put some thought into your application. We pay attention to how you communicate, how you think, and whether you take initiative.

If that sounds like the kind of sales environment you’d want to learn in, we’d like to hear from you.
