Working with healthcare providers, communities and government, the organisation identifies healthcare needs, commissions essential services and evaluates outcomes to ensure effective investment in regional healthcare.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager – Information Systems, you will design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions that transform complex data into meaningful insights, supporting strategic decisions, service performance and government reporting requirements.
This hands-on role offers ownership of the end-to-end BI development lifecycle, from stakeholder requirements and data integration through to advanced modelling, reporting, security and ongoing optimisation.
Working within a small, collaborative team, you will help strengthen BI capabilities and support the organisation's evolving data and technology environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Design, develop and maintain sophisticated Power BI dashboards, reports and analytics solutions.
- Develop complex data models, advanced DAX calculations and optimised SQL queries.
- Extract, integrate, transform and validate large datasets from multiple sources.
- Maintain and enhance data warehouse structures, analytics platforms and reporting systems.
- Implement robust data security controls, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and user access permissions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy and information security requirements.
- Support government reporting obligations and identify opportunities to improve automation, data quality and BI capabilities.
About You
You will be an experienced BI professional with strong technical expertise, sound analytical skills and the ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development, including the full BI development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to maintenance.
- Advanced DAX capabilities and experience designing complex semantic and dimensional data models.
