THE ROLE
AMD is looking for a Cisco Business Development Sr. Manager to directly support the AMD Business Unit Cisco Lead driving AMD’s server business engagement with Cisco Systems. This role will serve as a key interface between AMD product management, sales, marketing, engineering, and Cisco’s product management and platform teams, with excellent visibility up to executive levels within AMD and externally with the customer.
The Cisco Business Development Sr. Manager will be responsible for helping AMD win new Cisco platforms, support sell-in and design-win activities, track key partner deliverables, and provide clear reporting around marketing spend, sample status, and business execution.
This opportunity is an individual contributor role, not a people manager, and is based in Austin TX; there may be potential to consider candidates based in Santa Clara CA as well.
THE PERSON
You have experience working with OEMs, server platforms, product management, sales, marketing, or business development teams. You are comfortable operating across technical, business, and program execution discussions. Success in the role requires your ability to engage AMD executives, product managers, sales teams, marketers, finance teams, engineering teams, and Cisco stakeholders. You are known for being organized, proactive, technically credible, and capable of driving alignment across multiple teams.
As Cisco Business Development Sr. Manager you are technical enough to work closely with AMD product management and engineering teams, while also being able to help translate AMD’s server value proposition into compelling presentations and discussions with Cisco’s product management organization.
You have track record of strong cross-functional leadership, attention to detail, partner management skills, and the ability to help turn AMD product strategy into successful customer engagements and platform wins.
Candidates are encouraged to have experience in the following areas:
- Partner Leadership — Ability to serve as a key AMD interface for Cisco-related activities, helping coordinate product, business, marketing, and execution priorities.
