Must have
- Two or more years of CNC machining or related machine-shop experience; relevant technical-school or apprenticeship experience may qualify.
- Experience operating CNC vertical machining centers and performing basic-to-intermediate setups.
- Ability to prove out new programs and identify unsafe or incorrect machining conditions.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, tolerances and basic GD&T.
- Proficiency with common inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, indicators and height gauges.
- Working knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, shop math and machining safety.

About the Role
This is a full-time, in-person position at our El Segundo facility.
As a CNC Machining Technician, you will support the day-to-day operation of Hybron’s machine shop and help produce high-precision molds, tooling and prototype components. You will work closely with CNC manufacturing engineers and design engineers to safely set up and operate CNC equipment, inspect parts and keep work moving through the shop.
This is a hands-on machining position rather than a desk-based engineering role. The ideal candidate can follow released programs and setup instructions, operate equipment carefully, identify problems early and take ownership of quality, organization and machine readiness.
The position offers a path toward more advanced setup, machining, CAM programming and manufacturing-planning responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical mills and, depending on experience, CNC lathes.
- Run released CNC programs for molds, tooling, prototypes and production components.
- Load and measure cutting tools, establish work offsets and verify setups before machining.
- Perform first-piece, in-process and final dimensional inspections.
- Make appropriate tool-wear and dimensional-offset adjustments.
- Monitor cutting conditions and identify tool wear, chatter, chip-control issues and other process problems.
- Escalate programming, setup or quality concerns before producing nonconforming hardware.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, setup documentation, work instructions and inspection requirements.
- Prepare raw material using saws and other shop equipment.
