About CodeVyasa:
CodeVyasa is an applied AI and engineering partner helping enterprises build and scale capabilities across Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud, DevOps/SRE and GenAI.
Our engagements span specialist engineering talent, dedicated pods and capability centres.
The role:
We are looking for an Account Director with 8-15 years of experience in Mumbai to own and grow a portfolio of existing enterprise clients.
Your mandate is to turn established relationships into larger, multi-service engagements: identify new buyers, uncover business and technology priorities, create opportunities and convert them into profitable revenue.
This is a quota-carrying account-growth role.
Success means expanding our presence across teams, departments and geographies while protecting the existing business.
Key responsibilities:
- Own account growth: Build and execute account plans with clear revenue targets, expansion opportunities, stakeholder maps and milestones.
- Identify whom to sell to: Map decision-makers, budget owners, influencers and procurement stakeholders beyond our existing contacts.
- Build senior relationships: Develop trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, engineering leaders, data leaders and business heads.
- Create demand: Uncover upcoming initiatives, delivery gaps and opportunities to expand teams or introduce additional services.
- Lead discovery: Understand the client's problem, current environment, priorities, budget, buying process and desired outcomes.
- Drive opportunities to closure: Own qualification, proposals, commercial negotiations and contracting, coordinating with presales and delivery.
- Expand engagement models: Identify opportunities to move from individual engineering deployments to dedicated pods, projects and capability centres.
- Protect account health: Partner with delivery and customer success to address risks, retain business and support renewals.
- Maintain commercial discipline: Track revenue, profitability, forecasts and payment risks with finance and delivery teams.
- Run account reviews: Lead client business reviews and maintain accurate opportunity updates, next steps and forecasts in CRM.
What we are looking for:
- Typically 8-15 years of relevant experience, including significant ownership of enterprise account growth in IT services or digital engineering.
- Demonstrated success expanding existing accounts, with clear examples of starting revenue, revenue achieved and your personal contribution.
- Experience opening new buying centres and selling additional services within established clients.
- Confidence engaging senior technology and business stakeholders.
- Strong discovery, consultative selling, negotiation and account-planning skills.
- Experience owning revenue targets and managing commercial performance.
- Ability to coordinate presales, engineering, delivery and recruitment teams to achieve client outcomes.
- A hands-on approach: comfortable initiating outreach and creating opportunities without relying entirely on inbound requirements or founder introductions.
Technology fluency:
You do not need to code or design solution architecture.
You should understand the business applications of data engineering, cloud, platform engineering, DevOps and GenAI well enough to:
- Conduct a credible first conversation with technology leaders.
- Ask relevant discovery questions and recognise potential opportunities.
- Connect client needs with appropriate CodeVyasa capabilities.
- Brief solution architects and bring specialists into the conversation at the right time.
How success will be measured:
- Net revenue growth across your assigned portfolio.
- Retention and renewal of existing business.
- Profitable expansion into new teams, service lines and geographies.
- Qualified opportunities originated and converted.
- Breadth and depth of decision-maker relationships.
- Forecast accuracy and execution against account plans.
Your first 90 days:
- Understand the portfolio's current engagements, economics and delivery health.
- Build prioritised account plans and stakeholder maps.
- Establish relationships with existing sponsors and new decision-makers.
- Develop a qualified expansion pipeline with clear next steps.
- Advance priority opportunities into proposals, pilots or commercial discussions.
Relevant backgrounds:
You may currently be a Client Partner, Account Director, Strategic Account Manager or Senior Account Manager at a technology-services firm.
We value demonstrated account growth over title alone.
When applying, include two examples of enterprise accounts you personally expanded: the starting position, the growth achieved, the timeframe and the actions you owned.
