How you will make an impact:
As a Vision Engineer within Technology Transfer, you will lead the design, deployment, commissioning, validation, and stabilization of machine-vision and automated-inspection systems across manufacturing sites. You will translate product and process inspection requirements into reliable vision solutions that meet safety, quality, detection, throughput, and operational-readiness requirements. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, site technical teams, suppliers, and integrators, you will resolve complex hardware, software, optics, lighting, calibration, and application challenges. You will also document system performance and build the receiving site’s capability to operate and support each solution following project completion.
- Own the vision-system workstream for assigned technology-transfer projects from requirements definition through stable production and formal site handoff.
- Partner with product, process, quality, and manufacturing stakeholders to define inspection objectives, defect criteria, measurement needs, cycle-time requirements, and acceptance standards.
- Design or specify machine-vision solutions using appropriate cameras, lenses, lighting, sensors, electronics, computing hardware, communications, and image-processing methods.
- Configure and integrate vision-system hardware and software with production equipment, controls, data systems, and operator interfaces.
- Develop or modify vision applications, recipes, inspection logic, image-processing algorithms, and supporting software; VB.NET or C# experience is beneficial.
- Plan and execute installation, startup, calibration, FAT, SAT, qualification, and performance-verification activities.
- Conduct technical risk assessments to identify failure modes, detection gaps, false accepts, false rejects, and design limitations; define mitigations and test strategies.
