SENIOR COMPUTER VISION ENGINEER
XYZ Reality are a leading Augmented Reality technology company based in London. We have developed the worlds first AR HMD for Construction that aims to eliminate 2D plans. This allows builders, for the first time, to walk on site and use AR/3D models to construct from start to finish enabling the possibilities to Build it right, First time!
We are looking for a talented Senior CV Engineer to join our fast-growing AI Team. The department is working with ground-breaking technologies and are all fearless innovators. If you want a challenge, to push the norm and take on the improbable (not impossible) then this could be for you.
This role will report directly into our Computer Vision Lead and will be working with our cutting-edge technology that created our product, the Atom.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching image level features for downstream vision tasks (including learned and hand crafted features)
- Youll be looking to solve the many facets scene understanding in the construction environment
- Creating sensor data collection software for on-site data collection and validating vision algorithms
- Creating and optimising vision algorithms for target embedded architectures
- Work cross functionally across different departments (e.g. hardware, design, ops and graphics teams)
- Test different sensor modalities to develop and feed vision algorithms (depth, TOF, lidar) Experience
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Experience with Object Detection and Segmentation (Instance or Panoptic) ML architectures
- Experience with ML Algorithms and feature creation (e.g. Bayesian, Random forest, MRF/CRF, HMM)
- Strong understanding of Computational Geometry (Rotations, projective geometry, quaternions)
- Experience of 3D Reconstruction algorithms
- Experience with photogrammetry modules (e.g. Kinect, Intel realsense (D4355/T265), Xivisio or similar)
- Programming skills in Python, and C++
- Machine Learning Framework: TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Experience of Traditional Computer Vision and Vision Processing Techniques: Morphology, Connected Components, Segmentation, Feature Descriptors/Tracking
Bonus:
- Optimising inference for multiple target compute architectures (NVIDIA/CUDA/TensorRT, Intel/OpenVino, AI accelerators)
- Experience with real time game engines or renderers (e.g. Unity, Unreal, Blender)
- Experience with data bases (mongodb, SQL)
