- Manage all mechanical construction activities for the data center project, including installation of liquid cooling systems, HVAC, piping, and related infrastructure.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of liquid cooling technologies, ensuring compatibility with high-density computing environments.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate mechanical systems with other data center components (e.g., power, networking).
- Ensure all mechanical installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes.
- Maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of mechanical milestones while mitigating risks and delays.
- Monitor and control mechanical construction costs, including equipment, labor, and materials, to stay within project budgets.
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, particularly for high-risk mechanical installations.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services for liquid cooling and mechanical systems.
- Oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems, including performance testing of liquid cooling loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and backup systems.
- Maintain accurate records of mechanical installations, including as-built drawings, equipment specifications, and compliance reports.
