Cosmic Cashier for Downtown Fergusons

• Are you sad that you're overlooked by management, even though you make the regulars feel like superstars??

• Do you feel anxious when a day goes by and you haven’t had an opportunity to connect with people?

• Are you frustrated because you truly believe the world can be a better place, but the culture in your workplace doesn't represent that?

If you light up talking to strangers and you've never met a line you couldn't keep moving with a smile — this is your moment. We're not just hiring a cashier — we're looking for a people-person who wants to learn the craft, own the register, and turn every guest into a regular.

☕ About Mothership Coffee Roasters

We're not your basic coffee shop. We’re a purpose-driven, culture-first crew on a mission to create community—one damn good cup at a time. Our spaces are safe havens for creativity, kindness, and connection. We care deeply about our people (guests and team alike), and we love the rush of a well-run café.

The role:

To be the first face and the last word of every guest's visit. You'll run the register, learn the menu, and make sure every person who walks in feels seen, remembered, and glad they came. No experience required — we'll teach you everything, from the POS to the perfect pairing suggestion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Being the face of the café — greeting, remembering, and making guests feel like friends

• Running a smooth, fast register even when the line is three deep

• Learning the menu and suggesting pairings guests didn't know they wanted

• Enrolling guests in our rewards program and owning that relationship

• Jumping in wherever the shift needs you

Key Traits and Qualifications

• No prior experience required — we'll train the right person from day one

• A genuine love for people and conversation, not a performance of it

• Comfortable staying warm and quick at the same time when it gets busy

• Reliable, and able to work a flexible, variable part-time schedule

• Coachable — you want to get better at this, not just clock in

Pay and Benefits:

• $12.50/hour

• Our team can earn an average of $7.00 per hour in tips, in addition to their hourly pay. Just a heads-up: tip amounts can vary and the average is not guaranteed. We're all about creating a kind, supportive, and inclusive workplace. Come join our crew and be part of something special!

• Part-time, variable shifts

• Real training: a structured two-week onboarding program

Why You?

Because you're the reason a guest's morning gets better. You remember the name, you make the wait feel shorter, and you mean it every single time — not just when someone's watching.

Want In?

Let's be real — this isn't a job where you disappear into the background. If you like people, move fast, and want real training instead of a five-minute walkthrough, you'll feel right at home.
