Creative Strategist (Corporate Events)

Are you Ready to Produce Greatness?

Creative Event Strategist / Creative Strategist Corporate Events

At E.L. Productions Ltd. (ELP), we have partnered with major Canadian Brands to produce greatness for over 30 years. Canada’s premier event producers, we work with industry leaders and innovators to imagine, develop, and deliver exceptional experiences both virtual, live and beyond. We build experiences that make connections, shift thinking and inspire action.

We are currently looking for a Creative Event Strategist to join our growing team and help shape the ideas that become unforgettable experiences.

Does this sound like you?

• I love transforming a client's business challenge into a bold, original idea that people can't stop talking about.

• I'm endlessly curious, constantly exploring trends, culture, technology, and human behaviour to inspire better thinking.

• I believe the strongest creative ideas are grounded in strategy, not guesswork, and every concept should have a clear purpose.

• I enjoy collaborating with designers, creators, producers, and clients to turn ambitious ideas into experiences that can actually be delivered.

• I get excited by blank pages, big questions, and the opportunity to create something that's never been done before.

About The Role

The Creative Strategist develops bold, insight-driven ideas that transform client objectives into meaningful and differentiated event experiences. By connecting business goals, audience needs, brand expression, and cultural context, you'll create the strategic foundation that guides each experience from the earliest stages of ideation through execution.

Working closely with Program Design Managers and cross-functional creative, content, and event production teams, you'll uncover opportunities through research, shape compelling creative event concepts, and define the direction that brings those ideas to life. You'll help ensure every experience is rooted in strategy, inspired by insight, and designed to create meaningful impact for both clients and audiences.

As a Creative Strategist, you will:

• Lead creative ideation sessions that transform client objectives into compelling experience concepts and event strategies.

• Research client industries, audiences, cultural trends, and emerging technologies to uncover insights that inspire stronger creative thinking.

• Develop themes, narratives, creative platforms, and "wow" moments that differentiate ELP's programs and proposals.

• Ensure every concept is strategically grounded, audience-focused, and aligned with the client's brand, objectives, and desired outcomes.

• Contribute to new business pitches by developing creative concepts that strengthen proposals and help win new opportunities.

• Translate creative strategy into clear briefs, presentations, mood boards, and direction that enable design, content, and production teams to execute successfully.

• Present and communicate creative ideas confidently to both internal teams and clients, explaining the thinking behind each recommendation.

• Collaborate across disciplines to refine ideas, solve challenges, and ensure creative concepts translate seamlessly into exceptional experiences.

• Continuously introduce new ideas, trends, inspiration, and innovative approaches that elevate the creative standard across the organization.

• Participate in post-program reviews, capturing learnings that strengthen future creative work and client experiences.

• Strong understanding of branding, messaging, and how to create experiences that authentically express a client's identity.

• Highly collaborative with the ability to build trusted partnerships across creative, content, production, and client teams.

• Naturally curious with a passion for research, trends, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge, refine, and strengthen ideas through thoughtful feedback.
