Data Integration Engineer | Informatica, Azure & Snowflake

Salary: Great Salary On Offer!

Build the future of enterprise data integration!

What if your next role gave you the opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges at the scale of one of Australia's largest banks?

We are partnering with a Tier-1 Australian banking institution undertaking a multi-year, multi-billion-dollar technology and data transformation. A key part of this programme is simplifying a complex data landscape, modernising legacy integration and building a more scalable, automated, cloud-first data environment.

We're looking for a Senior Data Integration Engineer with strong Informatica Cloud (IDMC/CDI) expertise to help turn that vision into reality.

This is an opportunity to get hands-on with enterprise-scale engineering, influence technical design and build integration solutions that support a major transformation.

🚀 What you'll be working on

Design and build

• Develop robust, scalable data integration solutions using Informatica IDMC, with a strong focus on Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• Build reusable components, complex taskflows and standardised ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Integrate data across Azure, Snowflake, SQL Server and existing Teradata environments.

Automation and engineering excellence

• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines, Git/Bitbucket workflows and automated deployment processes.
• Establish reusable frameworks, source control standards and code quality practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance and engineering efficiency.

Performance and technical leadership

• Optimise complex SQL workloads and data integration processes.
• Work across Linux/Unix scripting and enterprise data environments.
• Contribute to solution design, code reviews and engineering standards while collaborating with architects, data engineers and platform leads.

🛠️ What you'll bring

We're looking for a senior practitioner who enjoys solving difficult technical problems and delivering production-grade solutions.

• Informatica IDMC/IICS: Strong hands-on experience, particularly with Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
• Cloud platforms: Experience delivering integration solutions across Microsoft Azure, with exposure to Snowflake.
• SQL and databases: Advanced SQL skills, SQL Server performance tuning and familiarity with enterprise data platforms such as Teradata.
• DevOps and automation: Practical experience with CI/CD, Git-based version control and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
• Enterprise delivery: Experience working in complex, high-governance environments, with an appreciation for data reconciliation, quality assurance and production reliability.
• Technical leadership: The ability to contribute to design decisions, review solutions and share engineering best practices.

💡 Why consider this opportunity?

• Work at enterprise scale: Contribute to a major banking technology and data transformation with complex, meaningful engineering challenges.
• Modernise the data landscape: Help move beyond legacy integration patterns towards scalable, automated cloud solutions.
• Influence how things are built: Contribute to integration frameworks, deployment standards and technical design.
• Broaden your technical exposure: Work across Informatica, Azure, Snowflake and enterprise data platforms.
• Flexible working: Hybrid arrangements in Sydney, alongside competitive remuneration, superannuation and access to technical development programmes.
