ERGO NEXT's mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive. We’re doing that by building the only technology-led, full-stack provider of small business insurance in the industry, taking on the entire value chain and transforming the customer experience.
Simply put, wherever you find small businesses, you’ll find ERGO NEXT.
Since 2016, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States get fast, customized and affordable coverage. We’re backed by industry leaders in insurance and tech, and we still have room to grow — that’s where you come in.
As a Growth Data Scientist, you will use data to help shape how ERGO NEXT reaches, serves, and converts customers across our partnership channel and customer experience funnel. You will work closely with Product and Partnerships teams to identify growth opportunities, understand customer behavior, and turn insights into product and business decisions.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical and statistical skills with business judgment, curiosity, and a bias toward action. You should be comfortable working through ambiguous questions, developing a point of view, and using both traditional data science methods and emerging AI capabilities to make analysis more scalable, efficient, and impactful.
What You’ll Do:
- Use AI as part of the day-to-day data science workflow and identify opportunities to develop reusable AI-enabled tools, skills, or agents that solve practical analytical and business problems.
- Drive strategy and roadmap for the Partnership channel and the customer experience funnel through actionable data insights.
- Own analytics for the entire customer experience funnel, from acquired opportunities to purchases.
- Design and evaluate experiments and causal analyses to measure the impact of product, funnel, and customer experience changes and guide future strategic decisions.
- Analyze affiliates performance across the partnership channel, identifying differences in traffic quality, conversion, product mix, and customer behavior to uncover opportunities to improve partner growth and customer outcomes.
- Identify, size, and prioritize growth opportunities, translating ambiguous business questions into rigorous analyses and actionable recommendations.
- Apply statistical analysis, segmentation, modeling, and deep-dive analysis to understand the underlying drivers of business performance.
- Define clear metrics, measurement frameworks, and visualizations to help business monitor performance and make data driven decisions.
