Job Summary :

We are looking for a Database Support Engineer with strong SQL and scripting skills to join our Production Support team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database support, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and incident management in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide L2/L3 production support for database-related issues.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents within defined SLAs.

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

• Support database deployments, maintenance activities, and performance tuning.

• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve production issues.

• Prepare incident reports and maintain operational documentation.

• Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Required Skills :

• 4-8 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Production Support.

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL (query writing, optimization, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning).

• Good scripting experience using Shell, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.

• Experience in production support, incident management, and troubleshooting.

• Understanding of database monitoring and performance management.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar databases.

• Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools.

• Experience working in a 24x7 production support environment.

Work Model :

• Day Shift : Work from Office (Chandigarh)

• Night Shift : Work from Home

• Rotational Shift Schedule
