Delivery Driver - DOT

About Shepherd Electric Supply

Since 1892, Shepherd Electric Supply has been the first call when complex, time-critical electrical challenges need to be solved, and reliability truly matters. We move materials accurately and on time, so contractors stay on schedule, projects stay on track, and customers never have to wonder if we will come through.

Our success comes from people who take pride in doing things the right way — safely, accurately, and with care for teammates and customers alike. If you want to do work that matters at a company that notices, this is the place.

Why This Role Matters

Deliveries are where our promises become real. When materials arrive on time, intact, and handled with care, contractors stay on schedule and customers trust us with the next call.

The DOT Delivery Driver is often the face of Shepherd in the field. How you show up — your reliability, your professionalism, your attention to detail — directly shapes how customers experience us. This role protects our reputation, supports our warehouse team, and keeps operations moving.

How This Role Connects to Our CompassWe Keep Our Promises: Every route you complete is a promise kept. Customers depend on materials arriving on time and in good condition. When something changes — a delay, a discrepancy, a damaged item — you communicate early, not after the fact. Your reliability on the road is Shepherd’s reliability in the market.

We Stay Hungry: You look for ways to improve your routes, your handling, your knowledge of the job. You don’t wait to be told what good looks like — you ask, you observe, and you raise your own standard.

We Grow Together: You support your warehouse teammates without being asked. You communicate with dispatch and leadership in real time. When routes get complicated or volume spikes, you stay steady and help keep the whole operation moving — not just your own lane.

We Own It: You show up on time, every time. You follow DOT regulations not because someone is watching, but because it is the right standard. When something goes wrong — a vehicle issue, a missed stop, a documentation gap — you own it, communicate it, and fix it. No excuses.

We Go Above & Beyond: You treat every customer stop like it matters — because it does. You handle materials with care, represent Shepherd with professionalism, and leave customers confident that we will come through again. You pitch in with warehouse work without being directed, and you look for what needs to happen next before anyone has to ask.
