Job purpose
We are seeking a hands-on, Full Stack Developer to help build and enhance analytical, data-driven web applications and supporting infrastructure for a quantitative trading firm. This role spans both front-end and back-end development, working across production React applications, microservices, APIs, databases, and automated workflows. The ideal candidate has strong experience developing high-performance, data-intensive applications where scalability, responsiveness, reliability, and clean client/server architecture are critical.
Key responsibilities
- Build and upgrade microservices and workflows written in Python/Pandas
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs that serve time-series and quantitative data
- Integrate with database storage across MongoDB, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services
- Building and maintaining UI components in React + TypeScript
- Developing data visualization and analytical interfaces (tables, charts, dashboards)
- Implementing responsive layouts and design systems using Tailwind CSS
- Working within applications that mix server-side and client-side logic
- Making informed decisions about what belongs on the client vs. the server
- Integrating UI with backend APIs that serve time-series and quantitative data
- Optimizing rendering performance for large datasets and frequent updates
- Debugging issues related to async data, re-renders, and UI state consistency
- Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting
