Goodman Masson is partnering with a new financial markets venture under formation in Oman.
Backed by prominent institutional investors, the business is building its operations from the ground up and is now hiring during the build phase.
This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and help build the automated, scalable and resilient technology platforms needed to support critical business operations.
The role
The DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining reliable, secure and high-performing application infrastructure across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments.
Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will drive CI/CD automation, infrastructure as code, containerisation, monitoring and production reliability. You will also provide technical leadership and day-to-day supervision to assigned DevOps / SRE team members, helping improve deployment processes, reduce recurring incidents and strengthen the reliability of business-critical systems.
What you’ll do
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing and deployments.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes across OCI, Azure, AWS and hybrid environments.
- Monitor and optimise platform reliability, scalability, performance and availability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK.
- Establish and monitor service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot production incidents, conduct root cause analysis and implement recovery measures, automated rollbacks and preventive improvements.
- Support disaster recovery arrangements and improve resilience across critical applications and platforms.
- Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning and compliance requirements into DevOps workflows.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to improve delivery processes, reduce manual intervention and prevent recurring incidents.
- Supervise and coordinate assigned DevOps / SRE team members, allocating tasks, monitoring performance and providing technical guidance and coaching.
