What You'll Do: As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide hands-on assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities by:
- Offering support in daily living activities (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)
- Assisting with community engagement and social integration
- Promoting independence and skill-building through individualized goals and programs
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals you care for
- Providing emotional support and positive reinforcement
- Keeping accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with state and agency guidelines
