We're looking to hire a District Sales Manager to grow and lead a team of hard-driving sales executives focused on breaking into and growing our key enterprise accounts!
VAST Data is building a new category — the Operating System for AI — unifying storage, database, virtualization, and AI services into a single software platform. The world's most innovative organizations rely on VAST to power AI factories, real-time analytics, and mission-critical applications at exabyte scale.
As we expand our presence across the world's largest enterprises, we are seeking a proven sales leader with deep experience selling broad, integrated technology platforms and building teams capable of driving enterprise-wide adoption.
The District Sales Manager will own the West Coast regional growth strategy, accelerating new-logo acquisition, expanding into new business units and workloads, and establishing long-term executive partnerships. This leader will develop a team of platform-forward sellers who can connect the full capabilities of the VAST AI Operating System to customers' strategic business and technology priorities.
This is both a people leadership and business-building role, requiring someone who can take a growing territory to the next level, create new market opportunities, and build a predictable, high-performing enterprise sales organization.
The Role
- Lead and Grow the District: Own the West Coast enterprise growth strategy, driving new customer acquisition, strategic account expansion, whitespace penetration, and sustainable revenue growth.
- Build a Platform-Forward Sales Organization: Recruit, develop, and lead exceptional Enterprise Account Executives capable of positioning the full VAST AI Operating System across multiple enterprise workloads, business units, and strategic initiatives. Establish a culture of accountability, technical credibility, intellectual curiosity, and disciplined execution.
- Drive Strategic Platform Adoption: Coach the team to uncover enterprise-wide opportunities, connect VAST's integrated capabilities to business outcomes, and build compelling value propositions that accelerate adoption across AI, analytics, and mission-critical workloads.
- Create and Win Strategic Opportunities: Develop repeatable go-to-market strategies that generate pipeline, penetrate new buying centers, and create demand. Lead complex, multimillion-dollar enterprise sales cycles and establish executive relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Chief Data Officers, and AI leaders.
- Orchestrate Cross-Functional and Partner Execution: Align Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Channel, Alliances, and Executive Leadership to win strategic opportunities and expand VAST's enterprise footprint.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Own territory planning, pipeline development, forecasting, deal strategy, and performance management to deliver predictable revenue growth and consistent quota attainment.
