Electrical Assistance Technician/Lab Technician

Electrical TechnicianQualification:

Minimum qualification for electrical technician is a diploma in engineering with 5 year experience or a trade certificate with 10-year experience in an oil and gas or major utilities environment.

Experience:

Power utility experience is highly recommended.

Experience required in numerical relay protection, transformer maintenance, MV and HV cable jointing and repair, vacuum breaker maintenance, MV motor maintenance and operation and maintenance of MV motor variable speed drives.

Broad plant maintenance experience on switchboards up to 6.6kV, motors, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), thyristor rectifiers, power and distribution transformers, lighting systems, variable speed drives and general plant electrical utilities are required. Experience that includes PLCs, HVAC, instrumentation, and the use of computer-based man-machine interfaces is preferred.

Switching and operating experience on plant at 415V, 3.3 k,6.6kV is highly desirable. Should be familiar with electrical safety requirements.

Computer literacy essential, as is familiarity with MS Office packages. Candidate shall have hands-on experience not just general knowledge or familiarity in the maintenance of medium- or high-voltage electrical equipment.

Additionally, the candidate should have practical experience in the operation of such equipment, specifically with switching operations. Candidates with a valid driving license will be given priority.

Job Pattern 01: Non-Shift Basis

10 hrs. per day (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM with one hour for Lunch break + Fixed 1 hr. OT); Saturdays to Thursdays; 1 day off. however, may be extended/varies upon job/client requirements.

Lab Technician

Candidate Shall have a B.sc chemistry from a recognized university with at least 5 year experience in laboratory in an oil and gas or major utilities environment.

Experience in seawater analysis is advantageous. staff selected from this position shall have good spoken , written and reading skills in English.

Salary details:

Basic Salary : 5,700/-/- QAR per month.

Other allowance: 550/- QAR per month.

Working time: 4-day work+4-day off shift cycle (12 hours per shift). Shifts can be either day or night shift as per the client requirement.

Overtime: Additional if worked after 12 hours.

Mobile Allowance: 50QAR/ per month.

Accommodation: Single room provided by company.

Annual Vacation: 1 month vacation after completing 11 months of service.

Insurance: Company provided.

Contract Duration: Permanent.

Overtime: Applicable if Client advises to complete the scheduled works.

Food & Accommodation: Will be provided by the Company free of cost.

Transportation: Will be provided by the Company to worksite and return.
