In 1908, the cement plant relocated to North Central San Antonio.

Globally, Buzzi Unicem SpA operates in 14 countries and employs almost 10,000 people. From 1909 to the late 70's, many technological advances in cement production had taken place. Wanting to take advangate of these improvements, the Alamo Cement Company initiated the construction of a modern plant located in the Northeast area of San Antonio.
