At Prelude Prep, teachers are not expected to manage everything alone. We maintain clear expectations for student behavior, partner closely with families, and work together to create classrooms where learning comes first.
What You'll Do
As a 3rd–5th Grade Teacher, you will help students deepen their reading, writing, and mathematical thinking while preparing them for future academic success. These are the years when students develop independence, tackle increasingly complex content, and begin to discover what they are capable of achieving.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, and other assigned content areas
- Create a structured classroom environment where students are challenged to think critically, persevere through difficulty, and take ownership of their learning
- Use student data to identify strengths, address gaps, and adjust instruction
- Build strong relationships with students and families
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve outcomes for students
- Participate actively in coaching, planning, and professional development
- Contribute positively to the culture and mission of the school
