About the Role:
CrowdStrike is hiring an Engineer II to help run the Kubernetes clusters behind the Falcon platform. Those clusters live in our own data centers and in AWS, GCP, and OCI. In this role you will keep them healthy, work incidents, and automate the manual tasks that eat up the team's time. You will work closely with senior engineers and grow your skills with Kubernetes and the tools we use to monitor it: Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana.
What You'll Do:
- Operate and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in our data centers and in public cloud
- Troubleshoot problems with nodes, pods, networking, DNS, storage, and the control plane, and escalate when a problem needs more help
- Take shifts in the on-call rotation and work incidents through to resolution with the rest of the team
- Carry out planned changes like cluster and node upgrades, add-on updates, certificate rotation, and adding capacity, following our change process
- Build and tune alerts and dashboards in Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, and Grafana
- Write tools in Go or Python to replace repetitive manual work
- Keep runbooks and documentation up to date
- Use AI tools in your daily work to troubleshoot and automate
- Join design discussions and learn how the wider platform fits together
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
What You'll Need:
- Must be eligible for CJIS clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status
