What you'll do

As the Manager of the Extensibility Platform team at Docusign, you will lead a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team focused on developing and scaling the Extensibility Platform, as well as building new Extension Types and first-party applications. The platform enables internal and external developers to create applications that integrate seamlessly with Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) systems. Developers can publish their applications through the Developer Console, making them available in the Docusign App Center for customers to discover and install. You will bring hands-on technical leadership through coding, code reviews, and driving the design and evolution of engineering architectures. You will help ensure the platform remains scalable, configurable, and capable of supporting diverse business scenarios, while strengthening collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and other partner teams.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, Software Engineering.

Responsibility

• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, reliability, security, and engineering standards

• Create, review, and drive engineering architectures that enable a scalable, configurable Extensibility Platform

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on design decisions, implementation approaches, and best practices

• Partner with engineering, product, design, and other teams to align technical solutions with platform and customer needs

• Define and communicate a clear technical vision and strategic roadmap for the Extensibility Platform, emphasizing usability, performance, and scalability

• Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver features critical to business success

• Guide the team in producing high-quality, maintainable code, with a strong focus on best practices in testing, monitoring, and logging

• Promote best practices in DevOps, continuous deployment, and Agile methodologies to enhance development efficiency and product quality
