About WEKA
WEKA is architecting a new approach to the enterprise data stack built for the age of reasoning. NeuralMesh by WEKA, sets the standard for agentic AI data infrastructure with a cloud and AI-native software solution that can be deployed anywhere. It transforms legacy data silos into data pipelines that dramatically increase GPU utilization and make AI model training and inference, machine learning, and other compute-intensive workloads run faster, work more efficiently, and consume less energy.
WEKA is a pre-IPO, growth-stage company on a hyper-growth trajectory. We’ve raised $375M in capital with dozens of world-class venture capital and strategic investors. We help the world’s largest and most innovative enterprises and research organizations, including 12 of the Fortune 50, achieve discoveries, insights, and business outcomes faster and more sustainably.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for a highly technical and experienced Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams within our Platform Group.
The Platform Group owns the critical layer where WEKA's software meets the hardware, enabling exceptional performance and scalability across our distributed storage infrastructure.
The group develops some of the most performance-sensitive components in our system, spanning high-speed networking (RDMA, DPDK, InfiniBand), NVMe storage access, memory management, and low-level Linux components.
Operating at the critical path of every I/O operation, the Platform Group tackles complex engineering challenges at the intersection of networking, storage, operating systems, and hardware optimization.
This is an opportunity to lead highly skilled engineering teams while remaining deeply involved in technical strategy, architecture, and critical engineering decisions that directly impact WEKA's performance and scalability.
As an Engineering Manager, you'll:
- Lead, mentor, and develop multiple teams of highly skilled software engineers working on complex, low-level infrastructure.
- Drive technical strategy, architecture, and execution across critical Platform components, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide strong technical leadership, actively participating in architectural discussions, challenging technical decisions, and guiding teams through complex engineering trade-offs.
- Oversee the development and optimization of performance-critical systems across networking, storage, and low-level Linux infrastructure.
- Drive engineering excellence, technical quality, and execution while identifying opportunities for performance and architectural improvements.
