Help shape the future of environmental science

At Campbell Scientific, we believe in using science and technology to make a difference.

Our measurement systems, data loggers, data acquisition technology and scientific instruments are used by scientists, researchers and organisations around the world to better understand and respond to some of the biggest challenges facing our planet — from climate change and severe weather to water resources, sustainable food production and infrastructure safety.

We are now looking for an Environmental Key Account Manager – Spain to join our growing team and play a key role in expanding our presence within Spain's environmental research and hydrometeorology markets.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical sales professional who enjoys combining customer relationships, scientific knowledge and commercial growth.

As Environmental Key Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of environmental research clients across Spain, developing trusted, long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to grow our business.

You will become a trusted advisor to your customers — understanding their scientific and technical challenges, helping them identify the right solutions and working with our internal technical and scientific teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

You will also play an important role in identifying new markets, customers and applications and helping Campbell Scientific achieve its ambitious growth plans.

What you'll be doing

-
Manage and develop key environmental research and hydrometeorology accounts across Spain.

-
Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and become a valued technical and commercial advisor.

-
Identify and develop new business opportunities and grow revenue within existing accounts.

-
Understand customer requirements and translate technical challenges into effective solutions.

-
Use your knowledge of environmental research, micrometeorology and hydrometeorology to provide credible advice and support.

-
Develop strategic account and business development plans.

-
Monitor account performance, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.

-
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Research Scientists, Technical Experts, Data Analysts and Production teams.

-
Support the delivery of complex and non-standard customer requirements.

-
Share customer and market insight to help shape future business and product opportunities.

-
Travel across Spain, Europe and occasionally overseas, with travel expected to be up to approximately 25%.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines technical credibility with commercial drive.

You'll ideally bring:

-
At least 5 years' sales experience within a technology-based market.

-
Experience working with sensors, data acquisition technologies or scientific measurement systems.

-
A proven track record of developing customer relationships and driving business growth.

-
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert opportunities.

-
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.

-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

-
A strategic approach, combined with the ability to deliver practical short-term results.

-
Excellent organisational and planning skills.

-
The confidence to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and commercial colleagues.

-
Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

-
Degree-level education in an environmental, scientific or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience within a technology-based organisation.

Experience in environmental research, hydrometeorology, micrometeorology or a related scientific/technical environment would be highly advantageous.
