We’ve built the industry’s first fully autonomous Data Security Platform to help our customers dramatically reduce risk with minimal human effort. At Varonis, we move fast. We’re an ultra-collaborative company with brilliant people who care deeply about the details. Together, we’re solving interesting and complex puzzles to keep the world’s data safe. We are looking for a highly motivated Escalation Engineer (Tier-IV) to join our growing team. This is a unique engineering role that sits at the intersection of Development, Product, and Customer Success, offering direct exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies across our platform. You will work closely with our development teams to investigate complex code-level issues, identify root causes, and deliver solutions that directly impact both customers and the product itself. This role provides a rare opportunity to gain deep technical breadth, influence product improvements, and solve challenging engineering problems that few others in the organization get to see.

What makes this role unique:

• Immediate impact - Your solutions are deployed in hours, not quarters. You'll see results directly from your daily work.
• Technical breadth - Become a true generalist. You'll debug across systems, gaining expertise in areas most engineers never touch.
• Autonomy - Take ownership of the problem from discovery to resolution. You decide the approach and drive it through to completion.
• Continuous learning - Every escalation is different. You'll continually expand your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Customer interaction - Work with strategic customers and see the tangible impact of solving their critical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across our entire product suite.
• Write Python code.
• Analyze application logs, database performance, and system behavior to identify root causes.
• Implement fixes and patches that are deployed directly to customer environments.
• Serve as a technical expert for resolved customer issues - you are the final line of defense.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify product improvements based on real-world issues.
• Create documentation and diagnostic tools that enable support teams to independently resolve similar issues.
• Clearly communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing Python -Must.
• Strong SQL skills - write complex queries, optimize database performance, and investigate data issues.
• Proven track record of debugging complex, multi-layered technical problems.
• Ability to work independently and bring problems to resolution with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable transitioning between different types of technical problems.
