Executive Assistant to the CFO & CTO

At Fourthline, our mission is to fight financial crime. We help protect the global financial system by verifying millions of identities for banks, neobanks, online brokers, crypto exchanges, and insurers like N26, Trade Republic, flatexDEGIRO, Nationale Nederlanden, Qonto, Shine, Solarisbank, and more.

Having started our journey in January 2018, we're incredibly proud to count around 250 employees between our Amsterdam and Barcelona offices with over 50 nationalities.

About the role

Our Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer run two of the most demanding agendas in the company, and their time is one of our scarcest resources. You’ll be the person who decides, with them and for them, where it goes.

This isn’t a “book what you’re asked to book” role. You’ll have the mandate to challenge, decline and reshape meetings so both executives can focus on the work that moves Fourthline forward in our fight against financial crime.

What you’ll do

You’ll split your time between two executives, owning their calendars, travel and admin end to end, and you’ll be trusted with some of the most sensitive information in the business.

• Make their calendars work for them. Own both calendars, protect focus time, decline or shorten meetings that don’t earn their place, and make sure each week reflects what matters most.

• Balance two executives, transparently. Resolve conflicting priorities using clear, agreed rules, and keep both leaders in the loop on trade-offs before they become surprises.

• Make every meeting count. Prepare agendas and briefing materials, make sure the right people are in the room, capture decisions and actions, and follow up until they’re done.

• Own travel from booking to receipt. Flights, hotels, itineraries and the inevitable last-minute changes, closing the loop on expenses afterwards.

• Keep the admin engine running. Expenses, receipts, approvals and signatures handled promptly, so nothing sits waiting on an executive and nothing slips.

• Bring people together. Help organise technology and finance leadership meetings, offsites and team events in Amsterdam and Barcelona. You handle the logistics, so the executives can focus on the content.

• Look around corners. Spot what’s coming — a clash next month, a missing document for tomorrow — and handle it before anyone asks.

• Guard what you see. Financial, organisational, people and strategic information, handled with total discretion.

What we’re looking for

You’ve worked in scale-up and international environments supporting C-level Executives. You know great executive support is about judgement as much as organisation.

• You’re an experienced Executive Assistant. You have 5+ years in the role, including supporting C-level executives.

• You treat time as a strategic resource. You’re comfortable telling a senior leader “this meeting doesn’t need you” and explaining why.

• You take ownership. You don’t wait to be told, and you know the difference between a call you should make and one you should escalate.

• You balance competing needs calmly. You’ve supported two or more senior leaders at the same time, and you have a system for keeping everyone informed and priorities clear.

• You’re unshakeably discreet. People trust you with sensitive information because you’ve never given them a reason not to.

• You sweat the details. Itineraries are right, documents are ready, follow-ups happen. Even small things are captured and on-track.

• You communicate with polish. Your written and spoken English is excellent, and you’re at ease with stakeholders at different levels, from employees, to executives, board members, and external partners.

• You’re happy to show up in person. You can be in our Amsterdam office 3 days a week and travel to Barcelona as needed.

Nice to have: Spanish speaking skills are a plus for this position.

Our values in action

• Dream. Build. Deliver. You’ll keep improving how two busy executives work — better calendar rules, smarter tools — and persevere when a week gets rebuilt three times.

• Own it. You own both agendas end to end, and you’re open and unambiguous with both executives about trade-offs.

• Do what is right. Trust is the foundation of this role. You handle sensitive information with integrity and speak up when something doesn’t add up.

• Love what we do. You bring warmth to a high-pressure seat and help make leadership meetings and team events moments people enjoy.

• Embrace differences. You work across countries and cultures, and adapt to two executives with very different styles and needs.

• Quality is our signature. Every itinerary, agenda and expense right the first time — because quality lives in the details.

What success looks like in this role

By the end of your first six months:

• Both executives trust you to act for them. You decline, move and reshape meetings without needing sign-off, and your judgement holds up.

• Their time matches their priorities. Fewer low-value meetings, protected focus time that stays protected, and weekly calendars that reflect what each executive says matters most.

• Nothing falls through the cracks. Meeting actions tracked and closed, expenses and approvals on time, no signatures gathering dust.

• Two executives, no friction. Competing requests resolved quickly and openly — neither feels like the second priority.

• Events and travel run smoothly. Trips and team events happen without drama, even when plans change at the last minute.

At Fourthline, we believe diversity enriches our culture and inspires you to do your best work. We value your unique talents and perspectives, welcoming them into a safe and inclusive working environment, to ultimately deliver the best products to our customers and society. You're welcome here. Fourthline is for everyone.

Our hiring process is designed to be equal, fair, and transparent.
